Interactive Light Installation which immerses the visitor by visualizing the sounds they make. Featured on Glow Eindhoven 2013, The New Horizon in the Evoluon 2014, and the Dutch Design Week 2014.

Interactive Light Installation which plays with the senses through a platform that controls the tilt of the room. Featured on Glow Eindhoven 2012.

Light Installation which re-establishes the role of the church in the commercial center, to enhance the atmospher of a pittoresk town in the Netherlands. Featured in Sint-Oedenrode in 2012.

LaserTree is a light installation that accentuates the form of trees through a dynamic line play. LaserTree was featured on Translumen 2013 and the TU/e Campus.

Many contemporary luminaires look exactly the same as those designed before LED lighting became accepted. We took on this challenge and have introduced an inventive and cozy lamp that is inspired by LED strips, which allows light to be purchased by the meter. To match this detail the luminaire is called, ‘Per Meter 01’.

The Lithne is an open-source development platform based on the Arduino framework which is designed for wireless lighting applications and installations. It allows the user to easily develop interactive interfaces which cannot only communicate wirelessly but whose software can also be updated wirelessly while being embedded.

An interactive desk lamp which adapts the lighting to the users needs, connected to the desk on a single leg to keep the lamp unobstrusive and appear lightweighted. This lamp is made possible through current developments in light, sensor and computing technologies, allowing the design of new lighting (interfaces) that are not only more energy efficient but also better adapted to the lighting needs of its users. During my Master I researched the possibilities of a luminaire that could adapt itself to the user’s wants and needs.

The SelfieRun is a concept in which runners are photographed while they are training. At the side of the parkour speed cameras are placed which take a photograph of the runners when they are running fast enough. The speed of the runner is placed on the photo, which can be found online. By sharing the photo through social media, people can stimulate each other.
