The Lithne is an open-source development platform based on the Arduino framework which is designed for wireless lighting applications and installations. It allows the user to easily develop interactive interfaces which cannot only communicate wirelessly but whose software can also be updated wirelessly while being embedded.
Function: Hard- and software testing and documentation
My involvement with the Lithne project was as a student assistant for the Intelligent Lighting Institute during my Master Industrial Design. I have been involved in this project from the second prototype, for which I did a lot of hard- and software testing: finding and documenting errors and investigating possible solutions. I also setup the website for the Lithne, writing content, making schematics and writing instructions for usage.
